Defibs Record Movie Soundtrack |
- This April we recorded music for the film SKIPTRACERS co-written by and starring Andy Stuckey from Stuckey & Murray. The film is a comedy set in rural Alabama about a family of bailbondsmen trying to save their business (and pee-wee football team) by tracking down a redneck extrodinaire on the lam. (dir. Harris Mendheim) Working in the suped-up Tainted Blue studios, we had the honor of reworking the Louvin Brother's classic ode "Alabama", as well as Lee Dorsey's "Ride your Pony". We also recorded some heavy-white-trash-metal interstitials and a new originial song called "Devil in the Driver's Side." Check out our photos page for some great shots taken by Katherine Slingluff. Other artists contributing music for the soundtrack include Langhorne Slim, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Shore, Justin Johnson, and Taylor Hicks. The film is due to appear late 2008. www.skiptracersmovie.com
